The BLS Polymers IPO GMP, an unofficial grey-market estimate, rose to ₹57–60 a share on the afternoon of October 29, Business Today reported, but these figures vary by source and are not a guide to the listing price.

By the 7:00 pm IST update that evening, after late UPI bids were counted, the ₹255 crore issue had drawn bids for 241.22 times the shares on offer, NSE's consolidated bid data shows. This article is general information, not investment advice, and it does not recommend buying, selling or holding the shares.

BLS Polymers IPO at a glance

BLS Polymers is selling only new shares. The red herring prospectus (RHP) dated October 17, 2026 offers up to 1,70,00,000 equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each, and there is no offer for sale by existing shareholders. At the top of the band, that adds up to ₹255 crore.

  • Price band: ₹142 to ₹150 per share.
  • Lot size: 100 shares, so one lot costs ₹15,000 at the upper price. Chittorgarh lists a retail maximum of 13 lots (1,300 shares, ₹1,95,000).

  • Post-issue market value: about ₹930.48 crore at ₹150, by Chittorgarh's calculation.

Subscription status by category

Most of the demand came on the last day. After day one, the issue was subscribed 9.60 times overall, based on NSE data at 5 pm on October 27 cited by Upstox. By 10:05 IST on the final day, Groww put the figure at 42.05 times, and NSE showed 68.89 times at 11:09 IST.

NSE's consolidated figures, updated at 7:00 pm IST on October 29, cover bids on both exchanges. They exclude the anchor portion, which leaves 1,19,00,000 shares on offer. Investors bid for 2,87,05,58,600 shares:

  • QIBs: 200.25 times (34,00,000 shares reserved).
  • NIIs overall: 559.20 times (25,50,000 shares). Bids above ₹10 lakh reached 592.83 times, and bids from ₹2 lakh to ₹10 lakh reached 491.95 times.
  • Retail investors: 128.36 times (59,50,000 shares reserved).
  • Total: 241.22 times.

At the upper price of ₹150, those bids are worth about ₹43,058 crore, by our calculation. Business Today put the total at about ₹42,500 crore from nearly 59 lakh applications at 4:25 pm, when the issue stood at more than 238 times. Intraday figures from trackers such as Investorgain and Wealthdox were lower because UPI bids keep updating until 7:00 pm on the closing day. The basis of allotment may report slightly different numbers once invalid bids are removed.

BLS Polymers IPO allotment status: how to check

The RHP's indicative timetable puts the basis of allotment on or about October 30, finalised with NSE as the designated stock exchange. Until then, every site will say the status is not available. Once it is published, you can check it in three official places.

On the KFin Technologies registrar site

  1. Open the KFin Technologies IPO allotment status page.
  2. Choose BLS Polymers from the "Select IPO" list.
  3. Pick Application No, Demat Account or PAN, then enter the number.
  4. Press Submit to see the shares applied for and allotted.

On BSE and NSE

  • BSE: the BSE issue application status page asks you to choose Equity, select the issue name, then enter your application number or PAN and a captcha.
  • NSE: the NSE Verify IPO Bids page lists the symbol BLSPOLY. You enter your PAN and application number. NSE says it shows allotment information as supplied by the registrar.

Your broker app or the bank you applied through will also show whether money was debited or unblocked. Jio Platforms applicants went through the same steps in the past week; our Jio Platforms allotment and listing explainer covers how that issue played out.

Why most retail applicants may not get shares

The RHP says each successful retail bidder receives at least one 100-share lot, subject to availability. With 59,50,000 retail shares, Chittorgarh calculates that no more than 59,500 retail applicants can be allotted. At 128.36 times demand in the retail book, far more people applied than there are lots. If you are not allotted, the blocked amount is released.

Refund, demat credit and listing dates

The RHP gives these indicative dates, all marked "on or about":

  • Friday, October 30: basis of allotment finalised.
  • Monday, November 2: unblocking of funds in ASBA accounts and credit of shares to demat accounts.
  • Tuesday, November 3: trading begins on NSE and BSE.

Wealthdox lists October 30 for refunds, earlier than the RHP's November 2. Use the RHP dates unless the company or registrar announces a change. The prospectus also sets compensation of ₹100 a day, or 15% a year on the amount, whichever is higher, for certain delays in unblocking funds.

Timeline from the October 17 prospectus and October 26 anchor book through bidding, the October 30 allotment and November 2 refunds to the November 3 listing.

What the BLS Polymers IPO GMP means

The grey market premium (GMP) is the premium over the issue price at which shares are said to change hands informally before listing. It is unregulated, it comes from dealers rather than an exchange, and it can change within hours. Investorgain calls its figure "indicative only" and says it "does not guarantee listing gains."

The reported figures differ widely by source and date:

  • Business Today reported ₹20 to ₹22 on the morning of October 27.
  • Trade Brains reported ₹41 at 16:12 IST the same day.
  • Investorgain's history shows ₹38 on October 23, ₹44 on October 27 and ₹51 on October 28 and 29.
  • Wealthdox showed ₹51 at 11:10 IST on October 29, which it reads as an estimated listing price of about ₹201.
  • Business Today reported ₹57 to ₹60 in an article published at 4:41 pm IST on October 29, without naming the source.

The real listing price is discovered on the exchanges on listing day, and it can differ sharply from any GMP.

What BLS Polymers does

BLS Polymers was incorporated in New Delhi on January 16, 1991, the RHP says. It makes polymer compounds used to insulate and sheathe wires and cables, plus coating compounds for oil, gas and water pipelines. Its products include HDPE, MDPE, LLDPE, XLPE, PVC and HFFR compounds. Its promoter group includes the listed BLS International Services and BLS E-Services.

The company runs one plant, in Goa. Its installed capacity is 35,251 metric tonnes a year, and it produced 23,265 tonnes in the year to March 2026, a utilisation rate of 66%. It had more than 190 customers in that year and sold in 23 states and union territories.

Groww reported revenue from operations of ₹349.43 crore in FY2025-26, up from ₹328.44 crore, and net profit of ₹27.01 crore, up from ₹21.13 crore. Business Today gave total income of ₹354.41 crore for the same year. In the June 2026 quarter, revenue from operations was ₹107.03 crore and profit was ₹10.23 crore. Chittorgarh lists borrowings of ₹51.72 crore at March 31, 2026.

Use of funds from the RHP

  • ₹77.56 crore for expanding the Goa plant. Capacity is planned to rise by 52,050 tonnes a year to 87,301 tonnes, with completion expected in FY2027-28.
  • ₹89.50 crore for working capital.
  • The rest for general corporate purposes, capped at 25% of the gross proceeds.

The risk factors in the RHP include customer concentration, with the top 10 customers producing 66.81% of FY2026 revenue. They also include reliance on wire and cable compounds, which produced 80.93% of revenue, and the risk of delays or cost overruns in the expansion.

Our take

Strong subscription numbers and a high GMP show demand, not value. Brokerage notes compiled by Business Today were mostly positive, but one, from Swastika Investmart, called the pricing "fair to slightly aggressive" against listed peers. For anyone who applied, the dates that matter are allotment on October 30, unblocking on November 2 and the listing on November 3. For decisions about your own money, read the RHP and consider a SEBI-registered adviser.

How to follow it

  • Check KFin, BSE or NSE from October 30 for allotment.
  • Look for the basis of allotment notice on NSE and BSE, which gives the allotment ratio for each category.
  • Watch the NSE and BSE quote pages on November 3 for the listing price.
